**The Writing Center is open to students during Hoya Block. The Writing Center is also open before and after school in room 9129 by appointment only. The hours below are the times during which you may make an appointment. Visit the "Appointments" page above to schedule an appointment.**
Monday-Thursday 3:45 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday-Friday 7:15 a.m. - 8:15 a.m.
The Writing Center opens the fourth week of each semester.

How do we help writers?

Who is there to help me?

We help writers with writing assignments for all subject areas. We also prepare students for the writing portions of the SAT, ACT, and End of Course Milestones! The Hoya Writing Center also provides extra support for students who are not confident in their writing abilities. Are you a writer? Then the Hoya Writing Center is for YOU!

When and where can I receive help?

The Writing Center is open to students before and after school and during Hoya Block. Appointments are required for sessions before and after school, and you may make an appointment Monday through Thursday, 3:45 p.m. - 4:30 p.m., or Tuesday through Friday, 7:15 a.m. - 8:15 a.m.  Teacher permission is required for Hoya Block sessions.

Visit the Hoya Writing Center to work with English teachers and peer tutors.

The Hoya Writing Center also offers specific workshops on different topics throughout the year, so check back for more details!

Want to volunteer?

Our National English Honor Society members earn service hours by tutoring in the Hoya Writing Center. If you are interested in joining NEHS, please see Mrs. Crandall in room 9124.
